I do keep myself up to date with subs on Reddit that relate to me, for instance, r/hip hop heads is great as every Friday they list extensively the new releases for that day with a short description of their genre. And under this tab I’ll also include things like podcasts, YouTube discussion etc. This includes reviews/opinions/posts detailing the new music for that Friday. So I follow people on twitter who discuss hip hop. But hip hop is my go to a lot of the time. What I mean is, I like hip hop/indie RnB and a little soul, and a little blues/folk. Quite often, especially if it’s an artist with a lower monthly listener count (say <1m) and I like their project, I’ll either go through some of the features they had on their project, or sift through the ‘similar’ artists profile and during this process I will occasionally skim through a few of the listed Spotify playlists they’re featured in. 5 main ways (in descending order of how frequently I use them):
